Ingalena Klenell | Trees, love and other relations

Opening a new chapter in the story of the relation between human and non human nature.

I will work with my memories of the kudzu bean and its enormous power of life.

My project will, hopefully take new steps into the landscape of poetry in artistic expressions.

We call it invasive when a plant takes over and kills other weaker plants and covers areas of land, buildings and constructions.

Kudzus appearance on my trip from Wisconsin to North Carolina was exotic and frightening but also an experience of ultimate beauty. After driving through wonderful sights with all kinds of landscapes the kudzu meeting happened. First we enjoyed of Black Mountains in the Appalachia with it's majestic trees, protected as a national park.

Coming down to the lower parts Kudzu showed it's power. Everything was green covered with the climbing plant. An unstoppable living plant.

My hearthofglass will be covered with an energetic want to live blanket and I hope to find the beauty in life despite it's ugly sides.

Darkness is perhaps important for the experience of light.

A lot of black around the heart...

Ukraine! So much pain.

Climate makes the ice black which means no ice on the lake.

Also one of my sons got a cancer diagnosis. Heavy chemotherapy has started.

Sending my heart swimming in the mud.
